The Deposit Process to Hold a True North Labrador

All Deposits for True North Labradors have always been non-refundable. These deposits provide breeders with the cash flow to feed, house, vaccinate, worm, clean, teach and provide the best of breed Labradors in the business. We explain and document all of this when we interview each customer. When you put money down on a True North Labrador, we promise to get you a Labrador, and we only take 4-5 deposits per litter. However, it's up to God what sex and sometimes color the Momma dog will produce.
Unfortunately, a small percentage of our past customers have forgotten what non-refundable means if it affects their plans. Unlike other breeders, we have a very liberal policy. If either your plans change and you need to wait for another litter, or we don't have the sex and color puppy that you desire, we allow you to transfer your deposit to future litters until you get want you want.
Due to the abuse of a few, we have altered our business practices. If you want to put down a deposit on any litter following April 1, 2010, you must do the following:
- Prepare a letter with your mailing address, the date and address it to us at True North Labradors. Please write the following in the text of the letter: "Please receive a non-refundable deposit of $xxx.xx for a male/female (circle one,) silver, charcoal, red, black, yellow Labrador Retriever. We understand that we can choose to take the deposit and apply it to a future litter if True North's mother dogs do not have the sex and color puppy that we prefer. We agree that we have discussed this policy verbally with True North Labradors. We further acknowledge that it breaches our agreement and we will lose our deposit if we initiate any action to get our deposits returned not-limited to but including filing a credit card or any other grievience."
- Include your money order and send it to True North Labradors. Puppies will be sold in the order that the completed deposit agreement and money order is received.
- Please remember to call me at 276-698-4361 for an interview before you send your money. We still offer financing for the principal for deserving families.

All deposits are transferable to another True North litter. However, no deposits can be refunded.
Financing
The balance can be made in several payments. The first is due when the pups are two-weeks old. The remaining balance is due when the pups are six-weeks-old. Please call us at 276-698-4361 to determine whether we will extend you the credit.

AKC registration gives you 60-days of free pet health insurance to try-out. AKC registration forms will be provided once you send us proof-of-neutering your True North Labrador from your vet. Ask us about crate training and other basic commands that we will work with the puppy on for an additional fee.
